Riley Maloy Obituary

Bayfield resident Riley Vern Maloy died in Represa, Calif. on Thursday, March 31, 2011. He was 25. The cause of death was not disclosed.

Mr. Maloy was born to John Maloy and Carol Cundiff Maloy on Jan. 3, 1986, in Durango. He attended Bayfield schools.

Mr. Maloy loved spending time with his family and in the mountains of Colorado. He had fished nearly every lake and pond in the Bayfield area, his family said.

Mr. Maloy is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carol Cundiff Maloy Denbow and Herman Denbow, of Bayfield; father and stepmother, John and Linda Ford Maloy, of Farmington; sister, Johnette Maloy, of Gaston, S.C.; one niece and two nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation with the family will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Pine Valley Foursquare Church, 1328 County Road 501 in Bayfield. A memorial service will take place afterward at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at the Pine River Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in his name with Wells Fargo Bank.
