Kim Heikens Obituary

Kim was such a vibrant, happy, beautiful person inside and out. I will miss her sense of humor as she lead the exercise classes each week.
Condolences to her dad, partner, sisters and all who loved her.

Kimmers, the brightness of your eyes, beautiful smile and readiness for adventures will always be embedded in my heart and memories. I will forever remember the fun and jitters we had, when donning black leather pants and vests and going to a bike rally. With this memory, I can feel your presence and happiness right now. I love you.

Kim brought so much energy and joy to her aqua robics classes. We benefitted from her expertise as an exercise scientist. And we all gained many friends as she brought us together. Her skill at treating us as individual people with different abilities was filled with compassion. Thank you for sharing your loved one with us for this fleeting time.

She was known as Kimmers in my circle. Full of love and vitality. She was beaming light when I saw her two weeks ago, right after she returned home from her trip to Vegas. Likely, she'll be showing up in ways we'll get to discover.
She was kind, passionate, and compassionate!

Kim was the reason Tim and Yonna went to the Rec center . She was a divine motivator . We both were so inspired by her classes and are in complete disbelief that she is gone . We love and miss you Kim .

Kim and I returned from Las Vegas after seeing Dead and Company at the Sphere. She had a special love of life. We were planning on going again next year because we had so much fun as well a multiple camping trips this summer. Miss you Kimmie

I met Kim back in the late 80s in Summit County. She never had a harsh word or a frown to share. She was vibrant, full of life, and had time for anyone. There will be a huge hole left to be filled in her absence.

Durango has just lost a shining star that will continue to radiate in our hearts forever. She always greeted me with a smile and a hug throughout the thirty years I have known her. Her kindness and diverse talents will truly be missed.

Bob, I'm so sorry for your loss of your daughter. Kim lived a full life in Durango! You were a good father to her. May she sing on in heaven. Sincerely, Tierney

My world is less full. Kim was an incredible human being. She never met a stranger. Everyone was her best friend.
She always smiled and had a laugh to share.
I met her at one of the many fitness classes she taught.
Kim will forever be one of the most magical human beings Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ blessed me to have in my life.
