Deirdre Cotter Obituary

Deirdre Kathleen Cotter Age 51 of Durango, CO died on Friday June 4, 2021.

Deirdre loved her friends and family, traveling, and working on her ranch house that she shared with her beloved husband Randy, their dog Spike, and cat Hamilton.

She was born November 15, 1969, in Old Bridge, New Jersey. She attended Lake Forest High School in Lake Forest, IL and Graduated from Hyde school in Bath, ME. She later moved to Durango where she met her life partner and husband Randy Hagen in 1989.

She graduated with her nursing degree from Pueblo Community College in 2004 and worked at San Juan Regional Medical Center as a psychiatric nurse for a number of years till she found her real passion working with Navajo patients who suffer from uranium exposure for Haven Home Health Care.

She is preceded in death by her brother William Stephen Patrick Cotter Jr (Billy) and her nephew Steven Andrew Cotter.

She is survived by her husband, Randall Scott Hagen, her mother, Dolores Veronica Cotter, father, William Stephen Patrick Cotter, her stepmother, Christine Campbell Cotter, sisters, Colleen Marie Cotter, Stephanie Ann Cotter, and Suzanne Theresa Cotter Brannan, and her nieces Amanda Rose Brannan and Nicole Veronica Brannan.

The funeral will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St Columba Catholic Church, 1800 E 2nd Ave, Durango, CO 81301 after which there will be a brief ceremony at Bayfield Cemetery where we will lay her ashes to rest. All are welcome to attend both.
