Carol Salazar Obituary

Carol Becker Salazar, died on 24 November 2025, Country Manor La Mesa Healthcare Center in La Mesa, CA after a recent move from Covenant Living at San Miguel in Spring Valley.
Born 16 June 1938, to Armintha "Johnny" Becker & Lindsay Becker. A 1956 graduate from DHS, she met Charles L. Hibert of Spring Valley, CA at New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology. They wed on 23 December 1956 in Durango.
Carol taught piano more than 50 years and was a member of the San Diego Music Teachers' Association.
Of her numbered marriages, the two marriages of note were: Charles Hibert of CA and Robert Salazar of S. America.
Teaching piano and "staying on the move" through extensive travel (anywhere) defined Carol's passions, personality, and destiny. A few were: Ayres Rock Australia, Italy, Germany, Spain, Egypt, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Great Wall of China, India, Scandinavia, Machu Picchu, The Equator, a QE2 voyage.
Survivors are: children, Louis Hibert CA, Lorrie (Hibert) Halloran NV, Kristy (Hibert) Benner CA, James (Jay) Hibert CA, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and her one sister, Kelly Becker, of Durango.
Cremation occurred. Her ashes will be privately released to the Pacific Ocean, summer 2026.
Carol lived on her terms.
