Charolette McMahan Obituary
Died: January 25, 2026
Charolette Anne Shelton McMahan, of Newport, Tn, age 77, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 25, 2026. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Scott McMahan, her mother Ada Francis Shelton Lewis, her stepfather Bud Lewis and her father Jesse Dover "Bob" Shelton. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sherry & Tony Gilmer, granddaughter Caroline Curtis, grandson Jacob Curtis, step grandchildren Laura Cribley, Brad Gilmer and Logan Gilmer, sisters Carolyn (Tommy) Lillard, Gerlean (Reece) Hembree, brothers Billy Shelton, Darrell (Darnell), Tim (Michelle) Shelton, very loved nieces and nephews and very special friend Wendell Ford. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Charolette was so loved by her family and community and will be greatly missed. Her love and devotion to others will be fondly remembered. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2026, with funeral services following at 7 p.m. in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Moore officiating. Burial will be at 11a.m., Friday, January 30, 2026, in the McMahan Cemetery. Family and friends may sign the guest register online at www.manesfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by Manes Funeral Home.

Sincere condolences to Charlotte's family and loved ones. We grieve with you for your loss. She can now be with her loving son again and see him healed. She is now in Paradise. Such a beautiful lady always. She always loved you so much, Sherry, and her love will always be with you. Many prayers are with you, and we will keep all the family in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Please give our love and prayers especially to Bill.
