Thomas "Tommy" Fitzgerald, age 63, passed away on November 13, 2024, at NHC Maury. Born on September 1, 1961, in Columbia, Tennessee, Tommy was the son of the late Bobby Joe Fitzgerald.
Tommy was an avid outdoorsman who cherished hunting and fishing trips with his father and son, Jonathan, and deeply loved his talks with his daughter Hannah. He deeply cherished his relationship with his sister Dianne. Tommy worked thirty plus years for Columbia Construction as a certified welder. He had a passion for riding his Ranger and took joy in painting rocks, a unique tradition he created for his children, especially on their birthdays. On weekends Tommy could be found cheering on his Tennessee football teams.
He is preceded in death by his father, as well as his paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his children, Jonathan Fitzgerald and Hannah Fitzgerald; his sister, Dianne (Mike) Darnell; and mother of his children and best friend, Melinda Manee, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
