On Sunday, March 22, 2026, Margaret Ella Clayton Johnson, 88, formerly of Trinity, peacefully transitioned from this life to eternal life, joining Jesus at dawn on Sunday around 4am at Shannon Gray Rehabilitation Center, Jamestown, NC. She was born in Forsyth County on August 23,1937, to the late Albert Clayton and Ella Mae Newsome. Margaret was a graduate of Lewisville High School, Forsyth County, NC Class May of 1956.
At an early age as a young girl, Margaret confessed Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and became a member of Spirit of Life Ministries, was a faithful and active member for 47 years.
Margaret is survived by a host of family and friends. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond and son Willie Johnson. Surviving is her daughter, Susan Johnson Danley and husband Charlie of Mt. Airy, NC; sons, Michael Wayne Johnson, sister Shirley York of Winston Salem, NC and many grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony Service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Spirit of Life Ministries, 1919 Surrett Drive, High Point, NC. The Church family will greet friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM in the Sanctuary.
Margaret's life was a blessing, her love a gift, and her legacy will live on through every generation she helped shape.
