Lottie Jo Brown, age 93, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Sterling Hills Rehab & Healthcare.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Champion Baptist Church with Jonathan Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Lottie was born on November 14, 1932 in Bailey County, Texas to Joseph B. and Ollie Bernice (Harvey) Young. She married Charles Brown on May 29, 1948. She worked in the cafeteria at Highland ISD for many years before retiring. She also worked around on her farm. She was a longtime member of Champion Baptist Church. She loved to cook for her family and her church family. She loved people and never met a stranger and always had a kind word for everyone. She will be missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Wayne Brown and wife Danna of Georgetown, Texas; her daughters, Doris Kay Howell of Spade, Texas, Charlotte Elaine Mifflin of Forsyth, MO, and Jeana Sue Brown of Colorado City, Texas; nineteen grandchildren, and thirty seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph B. and Ollie Young, husband, Charles Brown, granddaughter, Moriah Faith Mifflin; and eleven siblings.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Riley, Micah Riley, Travis Mifflin, Jordan Mifflin, Josh Geron, Colin Moore, and Oliver Briggle.
