Lawrence “Brother” Guitreau, a resident of French Settlement, LA, passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 78. Brother was a simple man who found joy being outside on a sunny afternoon cutting grass, grilling or watching Tulane football.
Brother is survived by his children, Dallas Avery and husband Curtis, Ryan Guitreau and wife Amey, and Jonathan Guitreau; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Guitreau; his mother, Lucille Achord; his siblings, Harold Achord, Deloras Rebaldo and husband Victor, and Betty Lagarbo and husband Mike; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 15710 LA-16, French Settlement, LA 70733, on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 9:00 am until Mass at 11:00 am.
