Obituary

Funeral services for Jeanette Cumbus Rogers, age 84, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Lee Messer officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday prior to services beginning.

Mrs. Rogers passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at her home.

Survivors include: her husband, Paul L. Rogers of Roanoke; three children, Carol Taylor (Jerome) of Roanoke, Wayne Hill (Angie) of Woodland and Leon Rogers (Sheila) of Lineville; sister, Joyce Mitchell (Jeff) of Satsuma, FL; two brothers, Mitchell Cumbus (Patsy) of Keystone Heights, FL and Jimmy Todd of Satsuma, FL; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Eli Taylor, Andrew Hill, Andrew Allums, Berto Gutierrez, Steven Rogers and Ryan Rogers.

A Kingsland, Georgia native, Mrs. Rogers was born on January 1, 1942, the daughter of John Felton Cumbus and Ola Mae Self Glenn. She was Christian by faith. Mrs. Rogers life revolved around her family; she enjoyed keeping up with her family and friends on her tablet. She loved keeping up with the Atlanta Braves and even named her cat Ozzie after one of her favorite players. Mrs. Rogers enjoyed passing time by putting together puzzles. She also loved the outdoors and scenery, including lighthouses, flowers and butterflies. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Jim Glenn; son, Keith Rogers; and three brothers, Ronald Cumbus, Tony Cumbus and Johnny Cumbus.

Memorials may be floral.
