Harry Bruce Green, born on October 28, 1934, in Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on October 27, 2024, in Macon, Georgia, at Pine Pointe Hospice. He was the son of the late James B. Green and Nathalie Zimarakis Green.
Harry's childhood was marked by frequent moves, but he ultimately graduated from high school and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Clemson University. In 1958, he married his beloved wife, Kathryn, and together they built a life filled with adventure and love.
Harry began his career at Lockheed Martin, where he played a significant role in the development of the C-130 aircraft. After being drafted into the Air Force, he served briefly before returning to Lockheed, where he proudly designed a seat for the C-130.
A man of many passions, Harry and Kathryn traveled extensively, exploring nearly all the states and enjoying memorable cruises to Greece and Egypt. He was dedicated to staying active, working out three times a week until shortly before his passing, and he cherished his time swimming.
A faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Warner Robins, Harry was involved in the For His Glory Sunday School Class and actively served in the benevolence ministry. He and Kathryn shared a love for square dancing, and he found joy in woodworking, crafting cherished items for his family.
Harry was a devoted husband and an incredible father, known for his great sense of humor and unwavering involvement in the lives of his loved ones. He had a passion for college football and enjoyed cheering on his favorite team.
Harry leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathryn.
His memory will forever be treasured by his daughters, Wanda Fellberg (Kevin) of Forsyth and Susanne Brockman (William) of Macon; and granddaughters, Rebekah Stone of Warner Robins and Amanda Richey (Andrew) of Kingston.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Harry will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
