Eugenia Clarice "Jean" West, age 98, of St. Louis, was born on January 22, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Ed Charles and Dora Belle (Huffman) White, and passed from this life on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Bentley's Extended Care, St. Louis.

She was united in marriage on September 15, 1959, in Arlington, West Virgina, to Mr. Anthony Stanislaus West who preceded her in death on February 19, 1982, and to this union one daughter was born, Toni West.

Jean was a grounded person who enjoyed watching television, gardening, cooking, sewing, and was a member and donor of the ASPCA.

During her working life, Jean was a payroll clerk for Midwest Curtain Company, St. Louis, for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1989.

Those left to mourn the passing of Jean include: her daughter, Toni West and fiancé, Thomas Stratman of St. Louis; several nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many other family and friends.

In addition to her husband Anthony, Jean was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Dora White; her brother, Robert C. White; and three nephews, Bradley White, Randall White, and Larry White.

Visitation for Jean will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of her memorial service at 2:00 p.m., all in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home Chapel, 406 S. Main Street, Vienna, MO, with Pastor Chris Slocum officiating.

Inurnment for Jean will be in the Clifty Cemetery, Dixon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bradley White, Randall White, Dora May Chambers, Rodney White, Larry White, and Cathy Ousley.

Memorials contributions are suggested by the family to Clifty Cemetery with envelopes available at the funeral home on the day of her service or c/o the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, MO 65582.
