Nancy Walsh ObituaryNancy Walsh, age 77, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025. Born March 30, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, Nancy made her home in Lake County for over 29 years, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful friendships.
She was the devoted and loving wife of 30 years to Michael Walsh, with whom she shared countless adventures, laughter, and deep companionship. Together, they enjoyed traveling-especially taking cruises-and spending quiet moments at home surrounded by family. Their bond was one built on kindness, mutual respect, and unwavering love.
Nancy was the beloved mother of Frank Brancatelli, Michael Brancatelli, and Jason (Tina) Lallo; and the adored grandmother of Jenna and Josephine, who were the lights of her life. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charles and Rose Sindelar (née Clement).
Nancy dedicated many years to her career at The Plain Dealer, where her reliability, warmth, and wit made her a treasured colleague. After retirement, she found great joy volunteering as a proud Red Coat at Playhouse Square, where her welcoming smile greeted countless theatergoers and fellow volunteers.
She loved exploring new places, sharing good meals, and creating beautiful memories with those she loved. After raising three sons, Nancy took immense delight in the arrival of her granddaughters, who brought her endless pride and happiness. Her love, generosity, and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland, OH, with Fr. Dave Woost presiding. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, OH.
Nancy's family and friends will forever remember her gentle heart, her joyful spirit, and the unwavering love she shared so freely.
