Belinda Nanninga Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes and Hedges Cemetery - Camdenton on Mar. 12, 2026.
Belinda Sue Nanninga, aged 61, of Osage Beach, MO, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, at Kansas City University Hospital, KS on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 12:50 a.m.

She was born July 9, 1964, in Pontiac, IL to James Frances and Judy A. (Bosone) Decker. She was the eldest of four children with three younger brothers. She attended school in Pontiac, IL and graduated from PTHS in 1983. She then attended Illinois Central College, Peoria, IL where she earned her Associates Degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Belinda married Mark A. Nanninga on January 22, 1998, and they spent the last 28years together raising their large, combined family in Osage Beach, MO. Belinda worked as a Licensed PTA for Home Care in the Lake of the Ozarks area for many years and most recently was the Supervisor of Out-patient Therapy services at Rehab Visions.

She has been described as Strong, Fierce, Tough, a "Force of Nature", a Fighter and Independent. She was also a Loyal, Protective, Compassionate and Loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She would do whatever it took for those she loved. She was a talented crafter with her own shop, "Bee's Crafts" and had a quick, sarcastic, sharp sense of humor! She was straightforward and brutally honest. She valiantly fought these last few months and though she lost her battle with cancer, Heaven inherited a Warrior Angel.

She is survived by her husband Mark and their six children: Amanda Lewis, Kansas City, MO; Adam (Rebeccah) Lewis, New Orleans, LA; Jacob Nanninga, Osage Beach, MO; Jennifer (Brandon) Moore, Osage Beach, MO; Ashley (Mike) VanNote, Gibson City, IL; and Madison (Charlie) Eblen, Linn Creek, MO. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren: Garrett Cheshire; Lincoln Nanninga; Braelynn, Gatlin and Ridley Moore; Kaidence and Elijah VanNote; and baby Atlas Eblen (ACE) due in August.

Also surviving are her parents, Jim and Judy Decker, Eldon, MO; her brothers Pete Decker, Eldon, MO; Chad (Sally) Decker, Chenoa, IL; Jamie (Angie) Decker, Versailles, MO; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her Maternal Grandparents, Dominic Bosone and Mabel (Brewster) Harris; Paternal Grandparents, Roy and Geraldine Minar; and her niece, Tamara DeRoo.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 11am to 1:00 pm followed by Funeral Services at the Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home at 514 State Hwy 42, Osage Beach, MO. Following services, she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will take place in Pontiac, IL at a later date to be determined.

Donations may be left to the family or to the donation of your choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 514 Highway 42, Osage Beach, MO 65065 (573) 348-3232. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.hedgesscottmillard.com.
