Albert Zink Obituary

Albert 'Ray' Zink passed through the gates of heaven on March 8, 2025, in Bangor, Michigan, welcomed by the embrace of loved ones who went before him. Born on May 13, in Hemlock Michigan, Ray was a beloved son of Alvin and Bessie Zink, who taught him hard work and resilience. From a young age, Ray embraced life with infectious passion, whether attending car shows or enjoying the outdoors.
In 1967 Ray met his soulmate, Effie, and together they shared a deep love, filled with laughter and adventure. Their bond stood the test of time, and their partnership was one of mutual respect and joy. Ray was a devoted father to five children: Daniel, Ray Jr., Lisa, Terry, and Tony. To them, he was a mentor, guide, and friend. Ray was also a proud grandfather to six and great-grandfather to three, leaving a legacy in their lives.
Ray's actions spoke louder than words. Generous and hardworking, he was a man of strength, kindness, and compassion. His love for life, family, and the simple joys of the world around him will forever be remembered. As he joins his son Tony, parents, and many ancestors before him, we find comfort in his peace and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 57 wonderful years, Effie, and his cherished children, Daniel, Ray, Lisa, and Terry, who were the light of his life. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his dear brothers and sisters, as well as a large, loving extended family, including nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ray's legacy of love, warmth, and kindness will continue to live on through all those who were blessed to know him.
Visitation for Ray will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 S. Bailey Ave, South Haven Michigan 49090. A Funeral Service for Ray will be on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 starting at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Matthew Zink will officiate.
