William Morgan Obituary

Bill Morgan of Flagstaff, AZ, died 12/3/2014 in Flagstaff, AZ . Born 3/8/1948.

With great sadness comes news of the passing of longtime Durangoan Bill Morgan, born March 8,1948 and died December 3, 2014. The son of Gertrude Morgan Taylor and William Osgood Morgan, Jr., of Tucson, AZ., Bill moved to Durango in the early '70's and was owner of Morgan Painting. He returned to AZ in 2008 to live and work with close friends at the Flagstaff KOA, where he unexpectedly died in his sleep of heart failure.

Bill's endearing brand of wise whimsy and irreplaceable, quirky way of seeing life always left those he touched a little more thoughtful.

He will be missed forever by his many friends, all cats and every color of the rainbow.

In memoriam of Bill's abiding love of animals, donations may be made to wildanimalsantuary.org

Bill, to me you always looked like Gandalf cruising onto a job site with your palette of colors and twinkles in your eyes, turning everyone's homes into happy houses! Miss you.

Rest in Peace, Bill and thanks for the memories!

Bill always had a sweet, gentle way of expressing himself. He was such a kindhearted person. We considered him part of our family, and loved having him with us for Christmas dinner or Thanksgiving. He always greeted me with a big hug. I can't quite believe he's gone. He will be so missed by my family.

Bill Morgan was one of best people I have known. He wasn't a big collector of material things, but he would give anyone anything that he could. We spent some good times with Bill on the lake where we paddled around in our chairs with frisbees, went fishing and swimming. He attended many of family's transtional events, graduations, plays, etc and we shared many a good meal with him at the Hawks house. We loved him like a brother because he was a brother. He will be missed.
