Victor, without doubt was the most generous person I have ever known. In the early 50's Uncle Victor was in the Navy and regularly made trips to Korea on a troop ship. On returning, his ship would remain at Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay for three weeks or so. Our family living in Richmond, Ca was only 25 miles away so he would visit and always with an armload of gifts for us kids. My father Silviano was the eldest male in the family and Victor the youngest and as a young boy I cherished listening to their stories.
Victor's nephew,
Alex Roybal
