Vicki Coon Obituary

Vicki Coon passed away at her home in Bayfield, CO 2/16/2018. Vicki was born in Craig, CO 7/13/1943 to Bonnie & Jim Clark. Vicki attended beauty school in Eureka, CA. She worked as a hair-dresser at Mary's Salon in Durango, CO for many years. After that, she taught cosmetology at Montez Academy in Durango & Cortez. Vicki worked as a bus driver for the 9-R school district for 5 years. In her older age, she enjoyed helping out at the Dolores Thrift Store. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Coon; and sister Rockie McClenden. Vicki is survived by sister Jammie Adams; daughters Joni Hurford & Jimi Hendricks; 6 grandkids & 8 great-grandkids; and many nieces & nephews. Vicki was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend, she will be missed dearly.

A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Vicki Coon Memorial Fund at First National Bank of Durango.
