When we moved from Durango two years ago, Vernabelle was still quite active in our church and we enjoyed her quiet personality and sense of humor. She was always generous and could be counted on to help with the food for college ministry meals. One Saturday I had ridden my bicycle to church for a work day. When it was time to leave, Verna loaded my bicycle into the trunk of her car and gave me a ride up the hill. Her sweet disposition and kindness will be missed.

Vernabelle was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. She was quiet, but when she chose to speak it was always encouraging and thoughtful. She will be dearly missed!
