Tony Sciturro Obituary

Tony Sciturro born September 26, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan died in his Florida home on June 23, 2022 losing his battle to congestive heart failure. If you look in Webster's Dictionary under "Alpha Male", you may very well see a picture of Tony. He served in the National Guard for 7 years during the Korean War and after retiring as Vice President of a commercial flooring company in Michigan, he became very successful in Florida real estate, which is where he had been living for almost 30 years. He lived in both Durango and Mancos for a short time, but made a big impact.

In that same dictionary if you turn to "D" and find the word "Dad". Tony will be proudly standing there with his two daughters and their families. Family was everything to Tony, a strong character trait he learned from his Sicilian heritage.

In the S's you will find tony under "Sportsman". He loved and excelled at tennis, golf, squash, racquetball and handball. He was a gardening aficionado, an excellent cook and a self proclaimed cowboy!

Also in the S's is the word "Spiritual". There you will find a picture of Tony contemplating a problem that life might bring. As tough as Tony was, there was always a great consideration for a higher power.

This world has lost one of the toughest, kindest, generous men that has ever walked among us.

Tony was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Joan Loverde Sciturro as well as his brothers Joe, Bill and Michael. Tony is survived by his wife of 8 years Lynn Faulk, daughters Rena Wilson and Jana Goldstein (Dr. Lawrence Goldstein) of Colorado, granddaughters, Kelly Horrigan (Lizz Madresh) of Albuquerque, NM and Erin R. Hart (Matthew Hart) of Colorado and great-granddaughter, Hazel Kira Hart. Also surviving are brothers Sam Sciturro (Pat Summerlee) of Florida, Jim Sciturro of Michigan, sister-in-law Rosalie Sciturro of Michigan, and many very special nieces, nephews and friends.
