Tommy Martin Obituary

Tommy L. Martin died on October 18, 2014, at the age of 88. He was born in Holden, Missouri, to Thomas and Laura Martin on July 20, 1926. He joined the Air Force on his 18th birthday and was honorably discharged several years later. He married Lillian Pearce on September 3, 1950, in Lakewood, Colorado. The couple later moved to Durango where Tommy worked for Safeway, the Colorado Highway Department and finally the U.S. Postal Service, from which he retired after 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Lillian, of 64 years, daughter, Barbara, of Durango, son, Tom Jr., of Lebanon, Oregon, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister, Doris Schmitt of Cortez, one niece and five nephews. Per his wishes, cremation has occurred.
