Thomas Lloyd Obituary

Tom and I were great friends from 1950 to 1957 when my family moved away.
We never stayed I touch and I regret that.
We roamed Durango constantly and I cherish memories of him.

We will forever remember the times at the Rocket! Always pushing the sunsets, eating double cheeseburgers with gummy worms on it and popping corn until midnight! We love you!

I just heard of Toms passing. I remember Tom fondly. We had a lot of great laughs. He loved his family dearly. No know he will be missed.

I first met Tom in 1964 when I entered Fort Lewis College. He was one of about two dozen 'locals' from Durango who attended the Fort from the high school class of '64. We were not close but did stay in contact through our Fort Lewis days (many a good FLC/Durango party did we attend-but then we were Irish so what would you expect). Then when I returned to Durango a dozen years after FLC graduation we ran into one another many times over the next 30 years and always made time to stop and visit. He was a good man, may he rest in peace.

We will never forget the fun times we had on the wrestling trips! He was a great teacher to our children! Our condolences to Bettye and the kids! Remember, he will have everyone laughing in heaven. Love, John and Mary Lou Baughman

Tom was my first friend when I moved to Durango in 1973 when he was working at the Golden Slipper during the summer and we have been friends ever since.
When I moved to Aztec it was a pleasure seeing Tom at Safeway. He had a great sense of humor and we always liked discussing the good old days in Durango.
I will greatly miss him and so will all of his friends and relatives in Aztec and Durango

Tom was a great teacher from my high school years, and he was a great mentor to my son when he started working at the Rocket Drive In. Great man, great teacher, great mentor, great person. RIP my friend and thanks for everything you did you better our youth. You do not know how deep your interactions infected the people you touche.

Tom, you were one of a kind and I'm sure you will be missed. We always enjoyed so much seeing you and all of the Lloyd family when we traveled from Nebraska to visit your family. The past 20 some years seeing you at family reunions. Rest in peace Tom. Our condolences to all of your family. Love,

With great sadness I read about the passing of one of my favorite teachers from my high school years. I had the pleasure of attending Mr. Lloyd's class. He was an awesome teacher and had a great personality. I looked forward to attending his class every day and never ditched. He had a way of making our lessons interesting and fun. He had a great sense of humor and joy of life. Mr. LLoyd ... I will remember you forever ... tie astrew, pacing back and forth, pounding the podium, teaching and making it seem like fun. RIP Mr. Lloyd and thank you for your part of making me who I am today.
