Thomas Cramer Obituary

Thomas Jacob Cramer (Jake), 31, of Bayfield, CO, left this lifetime on the morning of Feb. 28, 2017. He was a bright light to all who knew and loved him, and we rest in knowing that his beautiful spirit is now free.
Born in Durango, CO on June 20, 1985, Jake attended school in both the Bayfield and Durango school districts. He was a natural leader and pushed the community of Bayfield to build a skate park at a young age. Intelligent and talented, Jake was also an extremely hard worker and spent his adult life working as an electrician, recently having formed his own company, ARK Electric. Jake loved the outdoors and was passionate about fishing and snowboarding.
He had a huge heart, especially when it came to animals, children, and people in need. His spirituality ran deep and saw him through many a difficult time. Jake was absolutely dedicated to his family and was a loyal friend to many. He engaged the world through his charismatic personality, bright smile, and sense of humor. Jake's generosity and kind heart touched all who knew and loved him.
Jake is survived by his parents, Thomas Wiley Cramer (stepmom Karen Mee), Lauri Schell (stepdad John Schell), his sisters Melanie Goodson and Bonnie Cramer, grandparents Ann and David Marx, and grandmother Martha Schell. He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jake's life will be celebrated on Saturday April 1st, 2017 at noon at the Bayfield Lions Hall, 451 Church Street, Bayfield. All who wish to attend are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the memorial for a scholarship fund for young adults at risk.
