Susano Silva Obituary
Don was born August 23, 1945 in Ignacio to Susano and Mary Silva. He grew up in Ignacio and upon his graduation from Ignacio Schools, he was drafted into the U.S. Army (82nd Airborne). After his honorable discharge, he began working for an Aerospace Engineer Company in California. It was there that he met his wife, Edna. They were married April 26, 1979.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; 4 children: Kathy Pinsky, Shane Hall, Roland Silva & Rebecca Torres; Grandchildren: Alexis, Joshua, Kelly, Kim, Cuauhtemoc, Antonio & Isabela; Siblings: Joe, Veronica, Arthur, Tom & Gerardo Silva, Cathy Newberry, Marilyn Griego, Jean Montoya, Phyllis Perez, Diane Valencia, Barbara Valdez & Margaret Boughan. He was preceded in death by his parents & 2 siblings: Aurora & Ramos Silva.

Sadness fills my eyes when I learn of the passing of one of my Ignacio School students. Don was a sophomore when I began teaching there.
Don's Mother and Father were helpful to me as a newcomer to the community. I smile when I read of his very full life. His mother kept my shirts etc. beautifully ironed for a decade. I last visited Mary at the Church paying respect to a dear friend Jack Neher. She reminded me that she had adopted me de facto and kept me looking good for my job.

Susano (his father) told me stories told me stories about raising sheep, as we managed irrigation on the hill. Very happy memories.

To Rebecca & Family & SILVA FAMILY:
Truly sorry for the loss of your Husband, Big Brother, Uncle & Grandfather. I will miss seeing Don at all the Sporting events that he attended watching his nieces & nephews, especially his Granddaughter Bella.
