Visited our high school yesterday...probably for the last time. Many memories of you there...nothing remains the same...the school has been sold and a moving sale was taking place. Surreal in all...lovely walking down those old halls, climbing those familiar stairs...looking out of those windows once again...remembering...1965 until now suddenly seems such a short time.

Sue, there have been many times lately that I have wanted to pick up my old landline and call you just to hear your voice...I just miss those sometimes visits by phone...

Sue, what can I say about you? We were great high school friends - in and out of predicaments in your little bug...we terrorized my on again...off again Denver boyfriend with official looking legal letters with your dad's letterhead...we did silly things...we had the vocabulary of sailors in those days...just between you and I...You were so much fun to be around...(you had the best voice - all sultry and sophisticated sounding)after high school we drifted apart. You went to Washington DC and I went to Wyoming. Whenever I called you, you always said, "Well, Hi Patty!" You never forgot my voice after all those years...We made telephone plans to get together "in a few weeks" last fall and then again this spring after Fritz passed ...I didn't know you were ill, just that you and Fritz couldn't go to the class reunion with my husband and me last year because you were not feeling up to it. Sue, I am forever grateful that you were one of my buddies in high school but you already knew that...I will miss you always...RIP sweet girl...

Full of pep, so alive, we were the class of '65. Half a century and more later. Seems almost like yesterday. Herb Maneval, Glendale, California.

I remember a very funny and clever girl who clearly grew into a lovely, accomplished woman, wife and mother. I have thought of her often over the years. Rest well, Sue.

I can only imagine the smile on their faces when they were reunited. I have met very few couples who are truly soulmates. In my view Sue and Fritz were. It was my privilege to be scoured and taught in a law practice by Sue (and Fritz!). She was meticulous, thorough and professional. She was the toughest and the best! They taught me words I never heard before! They nick named me "Latte Nation" because I would drink one every morning. I sit this morning with my steaming hot Latte and I send my deepest sympathy for your loss and my greatest gratitude for all that they taught me.

Such an amazing lady and friend. She will be greatly missed, but there is much comfort in knowing she has been reunited with the love of her life, her best friend, Fritz. ❤

I will forever cherish the memories of sister times spent together. From Christmas and Thanksgiving memories throughout our lives, to a fun getaway weekend in Steamboat Springs with Sue & Fritz' oldest son when he was a little boy, to the first night when LuAnne and Levi joined the family and we shared a pizza dinner at our house, to the wedding reception in their backyard that they held for my husband and I, to spending the last hours of our mom's life together in a hospice room, sharing stories, love and laughter as we sent her on her way. I will miss her.
