Steven White Obituary

Steven White, 43, of Ignacio Colorado died on April 15th 2022.

Growing up in Norwood Colorado, Steven later moved to Durango Colorado with his adoptive parents, Arthur and Lawana Johnson, and graduated from Durango High School in 1996.

No stranger to hard work, Steven excelled at high school football, bull riding, and later over a 22-year career as a Master Installer of artificial turf greens. He developed a love for the outdoors from his Dad, becoming an avid hunter and fisher. From hunting large bull elk in the Colorado mountains, to hooking trophy swordfish in the deepest oceans, Steven could be found with his infectious smile living life to the fullest.

He was a devoted and loving son, brother, and friend, and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to those he held closest. He was loved and respected for being honest, humble, loyal, kind, gentle and caring, and leaves behind countless friends and family who will miss him dearly.

Steven, who was preceded in death by his mother Terry (Whittle) Armstong, adoptive mother Lawana Johnson, and sister Angie Mae, is survived by his adoptive father Arthur Johnson, and siblings Tony, Robert, Debbie and Jackie.

A Celebration of Life ceremony, will be held at 1100 AM April 30, 2022 at VFW Post 4031, 1550 Main Ave, Durango, CO.
