STAN SCHLER Obituary

Stan Schler was born January 7, 1959 and passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, on October 15, 2022. He was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, grandpa and friend to so many. He was a cabinet maker by trade and a farmer by choice, a builder and fixer of all things. Stan was a party animal - a blues man and a jazz fan. He was a teacher and mentor, a selfless person, shy of praise, and always reliable. Stan's love of ice skating and his desire to share it with others led to the creation of the Chapman Hill Ice Rink. He was a hockey fan, player, and coach; a bit of a bully on the ice. He had a smile that could light up a room. Stan was a big teddy bear with a huge heart. We miss him.

Stan was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Schler. He is survived by Paula, his wife of 43 years, children Christie, Ben and Beth, granddaughter Kaia-Rae, his mother Mary, brothers and many more loved ones.

A memorial will be held at the Chapman Hill Ice Rink on Saturday, November 5th from 2:30 - 4:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Mercy Hospice House.
