Ruth Walkup Obituary

Ruth was my best buddy when we lived in Santa Cruz. She helped me get through my morning sickness. We had a lot of fun together. We kept in touch at Christmas time when we both moved away. I miss her.

Ruth and I lived in Santa Cruz, CA over 40 yrs ago. We kept in touch at Xmas time after she moved to Cortez, Co. and I moved to San Jose, CA. We spent a lot of time together in Santa Cruz and we even lived with her for a few months at one time. I met her when she and my husband, Ben worked together at ATT. She will be missed. Love you Ruth. Prayers for Harvey and family.

I deeply sympathize this loss and now a void in your life.
I can honestly say that you provided a beautiful life for Ruthie.
Better than any man at any series of time on this earth.

You gave her security.
Space.
Freedom.
Inclusion.
But most importantly,
Unconditional love.
To the point that you are left to morn.
You even let her rest first.
And Harvey when it's your time you can lay down with content.
You did life beautifully.

I was looking for Ruth´s phone number to call her for her birthday. When I read she has passed I was overwhelmed with sadness. Ruthie was such an talented and interesting person word cannot describe. Our friendship dates back to her years at Pacific Telephone in San Jose, California and the on to Durango and Cortez Colorado where she shared her life with Harvey. I last visited in 2006 but we kept up our friendship with Christmas and Birthday cards. Rest in peace my friend. I will cherish your memory. Margie Butts
