Robert Scott Obituary

Robert M. Scott, 75, peacefully passed away November 14, 2023. A long time Durango resident, he owned and operated Clock Repair & Restoration, keeping the clocks and watches of the area ticking and timely. He was a mentor to many, training technicians who carry on this lost art and trade. Bob especially loved the natural world and was a plant enthusiast. His free thinking spirit engaged him with people of all ages and from all walks of life. He is survived by his wife, Dyan, beloved dog, Nipper, and many friends who were his family. A celebration of life and love is planned for the spring.

Bob was my cousin. He had some hard knocks in life and found a happy and successful life in Durango. My best to those who survive him.

So sorry to learn of Bob´s death. He fixed many watches for myself and my parents. He had many interests and was always eager to share his newest ones. I remember him telling me that Google was the best search engine. I had never heard of it back then! Hard to imagine now. He loved rocks. I still have the necklace he gave me. Rest in peace

He worked on my clock. I am sorry that our community lost a fine craftsman.

You gave me something to chuckle about every Christmas Bob. That clock my wife inherited and you repaired was safely hidden waiting for Christmas morning. But without notice as so many things in life that clock began to chime days early. The secret blown but what a fun memory! Rest in peace and condolences to your family/ friends.
