Robert Page Obituary

Robert G Page was born July 13th 1935 to Ray and Ethel Page in Seattle, Washington. He was the first of 5 children and is survived by his three sisters, Diane Harmon, Jan Egbert and Leah Stevenson. Bob left this world in search of "higher" hiking grounds on March 16th 2024 at a ripe old age of 88. He was born to be an athlete. He began water skiing then snow skiing as a teenager on Mount Rainier. He began his career in the Seattle area in his 20's but treasured his leisure time flying planes and helicopters, water skiing off of the dock of his Lake Sammamish home, and racing his 48 foot sailboat, Misty, in the Swiftsure International Yacht Race from Victoria, B.C. Canada through the Straits of Juan de Fuca. He retired early, moving to Durango, Colorado to focus on mountains sports. Bob served for many years with the Durango Ambassadors welcoming new people to the community, making many new friends and hiking partners. His true passions were skiing, road and mountain biking, hiking, climbing and snow shoeing. There was no place he would rather be than on the mountain with his golden canine companions Buddy then Bodie. Bob completed his third Iron Horse Bicycle Classic racing the train from Durango to Silverton CO at the age of 68 and climbed his last "Fourteener" in his late seventies. Bob truly led a full, long life and will be missed by those who loved him.
