Robert Hatfield Obituary
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and E.E. (Tommy) Hatfield. He is survived by his wife, Shelly, son and daughter in law Berry and Lisa, his brother Jim and many loving family members and friends.
Hatfield was raised in Durango and graduated from Durango High School in 1956. He earned a degree from Southern Methodist University and was a stockbroker in New York, Paris, Orlando and Durango.
After returning to Durango in 1976 he became active in the community, serving on the City Council and as Mayor from 1981 to 1982. He also served on the Airport Commission.
Bob enjoyed hiking and boating at Electra Lake where the family had a cabin.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Monday, November 28, 2016 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 338 E. Lyman Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789. Interment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery, Durango, CO at a later date.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Having suffered a recent loss myself I understand how difficult dealing with such pain can be. What helped me to deal with this is knowing that our Creator is a God of "tender mercies and comfort" who will be us all.
