Robert Dow Dunagan passed away on January 7th, 2022 at his home in Arizona City, Arizona, at the age of 71.
Dow, as he was known by all, was born on December 17th, 1950 in Blythe, California, to Marvin and Joella Dunagan. In 1958, Dow moved with his family to Hesperus, Colorado. He reveled in country life, with horses,
friends, family, and many acres to roam. In 1965, the family moved to the brand new Purgatory Ski Area, where his parents were both employed.
Dow graduated from Durango High School in 1969 and began working at what became a myriad of jobs and a few careers. Much of his work was construction-related. He married Gloria Allen on New Year's Eve, 1988. Dow and Gloria had moved to Arizona in 1987, where they worked in the construction industry, and eventually formed Dunagan Construction of Gilbert, and later of Arizona City, Az. They operated the company until Dow and Gloria retired.
Dow is survived by his wife Gloria, daughter Stephanie Benson (Chad), and 3 granddaughters; Fiona, Lily, and Charlie, and grandson Jack, all of Arizona City, as well as his mother Joella Dunagan, and brother Lance Dunagan (Marilyn) of Casa Grande, Az., niece Kerri Dunagan (Mark), nephew Brian Dunagan (Kirstyn), both of Denver, Co., and nephew Colter Dunagan (Kari) of Rapid City, SD.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Dunagan, and his brother, Randy Dunagan.
