I am so sad to hear of the passing of this most wonderful man. Richard was one of the great loves of my life. I knew him when he was in his 30's, first in Boulder and then in Bayfield. Richard was enigmatic and complex, a soulful man who forged his own unique path in life regardless of what the mores of society dictated. He was an artist, an amazing chef, an outdoorsman, a warm and compassionate person. He loved and was proud of his children, and was a loyal friend. I'm not saying he was without flaws, but he was someone who burrows into your soul and remains an essential part of you forever. I deeply miss him.
