Richard FLEMING Obituary
Born in Barryroe, Co. Cork, Ireland, in 1936, Richard was the eldest of eight children. He built a life defined by hard work, integrity, and kindness.
In 1970, he married Cecelia Collins, and together they raised four children. Following Cecelia's untimely death, Richard continued raising his family with love and dedication.
Richard is survived by his children, Celia Fleming Dieterich (Matt), Maura Fleming Miele (Steve), Richard Fleming (Kerri) and Kevin Fleming (Sunni); his ten grandchildren, Will, Cecelia, Elizabeth and Richard Dieterich, Luke Miele, Richard III, Hannah and Mairead Fleming and Victoria and Alexandra Fleming; his siblings, Mary Ellen Hand, Anna Buckley, John Joe Fleming, Liz Aylott, Brendan Fleming and Michael Fleming; and his sister-in-law, Mary E. Collins. He was predeceased by his wife, Cecelia; and his brother, Pat. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 5, from 4–7 p.m., at Doherty's Funeral Home, SOMERVILLE, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 6, at 10 a.m., at St. Raphael's Church, Medford, MA.

Our deepest and most sincere sympathy to the Fleming family on the loss of Richie! He was a proud Cork man that we´ve been friends with since he came to the States over 60 years ago! He was one in a million and will be missed by all his family and friends. May the wonderful memories we all have of him over the years help his family and friends get through this difficult time! Deepest sympathies to all the Fleming Family on the sad passing of Richie. He was a true gentleman in every sense. His big smile and kind words were contagious. Such a pleasure to meet up with Richie, always guaranteed a good heartfelt laugh. Have to be honest here also, when Richie wore the Red sweater out in Dilboy, and gave me a fair roasting, that plus hard hour was when he didn´t bring a smile to my face, boundless energy and talent. May God Bless you Richie, home now Cecelia Mom and Dad, Heard you were center forward next Sunday, my Brother Jimmy is center back
