Pauline Suazo Obituary

1931 - 2021

Pauline Ermalinda Chavez was born April 5, 1931 to Manuel and Lina Chavez in Pagosa Junction, Colorado. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on September 12, 2021. Pauline grew up with her family, including eight sisters and one brother, on a sheep ranch in Pagosa Junction. They moved to Arboles, then Durango, where she met and married Franklin Douglas Suazo in 1954. They moved to Utah in 1956, where their family continued to grow. Their children include Greg, Dennis, Gary, the twins Mark and Lawrence, and daughter Paulette (Capener). Pauline has 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Pauline worked for many years at Sorenson Research/Abbott Hospital Products Division. She had many close friends there. She was medically retired in the early 1990's due to her health condition. She always made sure the family was taken care of. She would feed anyone and everyone that came through the front door. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Magna, Utah. She loved crafts, cooking, crosswords, and watching sports and Judge Judy.

According to her wishes, she will be buried next to her parents in Taylorsville. No funeral services, but the family will get together for a remembrance in Colorado.
