Neal Stone Obituary
Neal Bryan Stone of Durango passed away on December 21, 2022 at the age of 69. He was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Wendell and Beverly Stone. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Stone, and his parents. He is survived by his daughters, Holly Hopkins of Durango, and Rebekah Stone of Farmington, sister Sherryl Stone of Baker City, Oregon, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Neal enjoyed classic rock, and was a composer of music and hymns. He loved spending time with his Mother Beverly, who he cared for in the last years of her life. He was a gentle and kind man, a devout follower of Jesus Christ, a loving father, son and brother, and a true friend to many.
He will be greatly missed by his family and countless friends whose lives he touched. A service for Neal will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the United Community Church, 1024 County Road 230, on Saturday, February 11, 2023. All are welcome to join in remembrance and celebration of his life. His remains have been committed to the family plot.
