Nancy Meisner Obituary

Longtime Ignacio community supporter Nancy Ruth Meisner died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, in Ignacio. She was 73.

Mrs. Meisner was born to Harold and Virginia Mick on June 1, 1937, in Lathrop, Mo. The Mick family moved to Colorado in 1949.

Mrs. Meisner supported all local school activities, including Space Camp. She also was the local community gossip coordinator, her family said.

She was an avid crocheter and embroiderer.

She is survived by her daughters Laurie Simons of Allison and Kim Williamson of Torrington, Wyo.; sons Arthur Meisner of Hesperus and Gary P. Meisner of Durango; sisters Dorothy Allison of Fresno, Calif., and Shirley Read of York, Maine; brothers Tom Mick of Parker and David Mick of Kent, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
