Michael Burt Obituary
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara, and step father, Norman.
Michael was born in Hays, Kansas, but spent most of his childhood and teen years in Durango.
He had a love for all things electronic, and enjoyed repairing and renovating computers. He tended bar in Golden, Colorado and in Texas for awhile but later realized a real love for working with disabled adults, and worked in that capacity both in Durango and in Garden City, Kansas.
Michael relocated to Edgewood, Texas in 2012, where he married his long time friend, Carolyn Rogers. There Michael continued to renovate and repair computers and also became involved in a Christian radio station where he was a DJ playing contemporary Christian music. He and Carolyn were active in their church, New Journey Church of God in Edgewood.
There will be an informal memorial gathering on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Pagosa Springs Cemetery at 12:00 noon with a potluck.

It's 10 years this December since I said good bye to the one man who sincerely loved me. He taught me a lot over our many years of friendship and then those last 3 years of marriage before he said his last "I love you" see you later and went home to be with the JESUS he came to know and love deeply. He touched many lives in those three years he was here in Texas and folks talk about it still when we run into each other. He was the real love of my life.
