Merlwyn Clausen Obituary

Merlwyn Clausen, nee Kinney, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 12, 2019, in Durango, CO. She was 86 years old.

Mrs. Clausen was born on May 15, 1932, in Chicago, IL. She enjoyed volunteering for Christ the King Lutheran Church, watching Jeopardy, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Clausen will be remembered as a respected member of the community, and for her spunk, strength, and love.

She was predeceased by loving husband Robert Clausen, and beloved daughter Gay Clausen. She is survived by daughter Joy Keiger, son-in-law Charles Keiger, daughter Melody Moore, son-in-law Jimmer Moore; son Bob Clausen, daughter-in-law Tammy Clausen; along with grandchildren Bailey Keiger, Blake Hoyt, Taylor Weidauer, Madison Keiger, Robert Moore, Westly Moore, and Karstyn Clausen.

A memorial service will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church on May 28th, 2019 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Mercy Health Foundation in her name.

What a blessing she was to so many of us! So kind, dedicated, and fun to be around. Merlwyn was a wonderful woman...a good and faithful servant of the Lord. Peace to her family whom she loved so much.
