Mary and I became friends through our neighborhood and then found out that we shared a great love of books! I loved and respected May and Don from my first meetings wit them in the early 1990's. I think of them with fondness every time I drive past the house. Their Sam and Lydia have s special place in my heart always too. May your memories be a blessing to you all!

Mary was the sweetest lady in Durango. Her heart was filled with kindness towards others. She loved her family and her sweetheart Don. Tirelessly she worked in Kiwanis for the benefit of the children of La Plata County. Her bright smile and gracious spirit will be a role model for others.

To Scott and Roger, you may remember that your father was a good friend to me and I appreciated your mother very much as she brought Don and stayed in Kiwanis. I did a lot of golf with Don and occasionally with Scott. My sincere sympathy,
Don Baker
