Mary Lorenzini Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Dickson Lorenzini, 98, passed away on 11/20/2022. She was born on 03/08/1924 in Lafayette, Ind., to Paul Burton Dickson and Elizabeth Loretta Breckweg; after the passing of her parents, she was raised by her Aunt Bessie Dickson in Bradford, Pa. She married the love of her life, Joseph George Lorenzini, in 1947, and they had three children, Mike, Steve and Mary Jo. They moved to California in 1955 and, after retiring in 1988, moved to Colorado, where Mary enjoyed gardening, raising canaries, fishing, music and quilting. In 2001, they returned to California, settling in Lancaster.

Mary was a woman of deep faith who was devoted to her Lord, her family and her many friends; she also loved animals, especially dogs and birds. She was a true optimist who always saw the best in everyone; all who knew her appreciated her kind, gentle and generous disposition. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She has entered fully into the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, resting in His everlasting peace and love, beyond our earthly comprehension and has been reunited with her family that preceded her. She was a firm and faithful believer, reading her Bible daily.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, son Mike, grandson Joseph, and great-granddaughter Mariah. She is survived by her son Steve (Meg) Lorenzini, daughter Mary Jo (Mike) Grange, and daughter-in-law Kathy Lorenzini; grandchildren Ben, Kerrie, Sam, Kristin (Greg), Justin (Karen), Paul (Ruth), Beth (Joshua), and Luke; great-grandchildren Bennie, Alyssa (Victor), Noelle, Bella, Nick, Ethan, Cameron, Silas, Sylvia, Eleanor, Arthur, Roman and Arabella; and great-great-grandchildren Eli, Aleyla and Victor.

Service will be held on April 8, 2023, at Ignacio Community Church at 10:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Ignacio East Cemetery; lunch will then be served at the church.
