Marlene and Don lived next door to my family for many years, and they were wonderful neighbors--always helpful and friendly. Marlene and my mother used to have coffee together at our house on San Juan Drive about once a week, and developed a great friendship. When I mentioned once to one of my professors at Fort Lewis College that Marlene lived next door to my family, he responded that he was not sure the college could function without her. Marlene and Don were kind, gentle people, and they will be missed.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
We knew the Pixlers from FLC and the Durango community. Amazing people. They will be missed.

I have such fond memories of Marlene! I worked as a student aide for her at Ft. Lewis in the late 1970's. She and I were more than working colleagues, we became good friends. Marlene and Don attended my wedding and even hid our motorcycle in their garage so that we could have a quick getaway after the reception. I smile when I think of her gentle hearted smile.

The dearest, sweetest neighbors one could ever dream of sharing Everygreen Canyon with, Marlene and Donald were forever cheerful, friendly, helpful and kind. Amongst the most genuine people I ever had the privilege of knowing, it is the passing of such souls into the final reward they so powerfully believed in and so richly deserve that serve to remind of the fleeting nature of our times here on earth and the undying element of pure, bright and shining energy. Marlene and Donald are back in one another´s arms, and their unique Chanel spirits will remain in our hearts. We wish you well, Jennifer, and the peace that has always reflected from your Mom and Dad´s ease and grace. Farewell.
