Mark Crespo Obituary

Mark Anthony (Tony) Crespo, age 48, of Durango Colorado, died at home of natural causes on September 26, 2020.

Tony was born January 25, 1972, in San Francisco, California, and raised in Redwood City, California. Tony came to Durango, Colorado to attend Timberline Academy in his teen years. During that time, he found his love for the Colorado mountains and the great outdoors.

Tony was a skilled craftsman and artist. He enjoyed creating everything from a custom sign to a fully built home, as well as jewelry and amazing birdhouses. He liked to ski in the winter, and spend his spring and summer time going camping, boating, fishing, soaking in hot springs, and cruising on his motorcycle. He is notoriously known for his pool playing skills in the downtown pool community, as well as being a master camp cook. He enjoyed making anything from tacos, fajitas, and chili, to a full steak meal topped with mushrooms and sides.

Tony was always an animal lover. Over the years he took in dogs, cats, snakes, fish, and birds. The last dog in his care was not just any dog, but his true companion. Bella challenged Tony over the years but always loved going on adventures with him. Bella was beside him during his final moments.

Tony loved the music of all kinds; he was always playing on a drum and singing from his heart. He had even decided to join the church choir at St. Columbia, where he attended church. He will be missed very much by all of us who crossed his path. Like Tony would say, "Every little thing is gonna be alright", BM. To honor Tony, we ask that you listen to your favorite song.

Tony is survived by his children; Hope Crespo, Anthony Crespo, Daniel Thompson, Jordan Thompson, Shiaslynn Thompson, longtime companion Bella, co-parent, and friend Tara Thompson, sister Caryn C. Crespo, and his many lifelong friends. Mark Anthony Crespo is proceeded in death by his parents Robert Anthony Crespo and Evelyn Jeanette (Garibaldi) Crespo.

There will be a celebration of life for Tony at a later date.
