Marie Wells Obituary
Marie was born January 24, 1930 to father, Sharon and mother, Faye Spencer. She graduated from Durango High School in 1948 and attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M. Marie married Edward Mitchell Wells in 1951.
Marie was a member of Chapter F X P.E.O. in Durango and the Episcopal Church in Grants, as well as St. Mark's Episcopal in Durango.
She is survived by her son John M. Wells of Durango, grandsons: Zane B. Wells of Durango, Grant M. Wells of Denver, grandson: Justin Okes (wife Kristen) of Sun River, Montana, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Mitch; daughter, Janet Wells Okes, and grandson: Benjamin Okes.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marie's name may be made to: Fort Lewis College Foundation, 1000 Rim Drive, Durango, CO.
