Our beloved mama, Helen departed this life on Sept 23 2016 and is now in our Lords embrace. She was born Sept 26 1944 in Durango Co to Lucas and Mary Romero. Mom had 6 sisters, 3 brothers, 4 daughters, 1 son, 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many who were adopted into our family. She was our treasure, with a deep devotion to family and faith, her strength has led us through our lives. Her strong will and determination to provide for us, the unconditional selfless love and the value of family is the legacy she leaves us. Moms devotion to the Catholic church was her guide thru life. Her quiet, private practical ways nourished our minds, hearts and bodies. She inspired us to be better people, to be considerate of those less fortunate and to forgive those who we thought might have wronged us.
