Marcus Elliott Obituary

Marcus William Elliott passed away of heart failure October 24, 2025, at forty-nine years of age. He leaves behind his beautiful daughter Alyssa, his loving mother, Denise Elliott of Durango, her husband Bill, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends who mourn his passing. With his big smile and spontaneous laugh, Marcus would light up a room; he was that rare combination of funny and kind. Born in Omaha; raised in Laguna Hills; Marcus was a surfer, an adventurer, an entrepreneur, a man of faith and a student. A business graduate from Fort Lewis College, Marcus had found his calling to serve others as a third-year student at Palmer Chiropractic Institute in Florida. Marcus loved life, lived life large and loved even larger, he never met a stranger, all were welcome, and all were celebrated.
We will carry this grace with us as we celebrate Marcus on Sunday December 14th, at 2:00 pm at The River Church in Durango. Reception will follow at the Strater Hotel.
