Manuel Albo Obituary

Former Durango resident Manuel Albo died at his home in Farmington on Monday, July 13, 2009. He was 72.

Mr. Albo was born in Durango to Pasqual and Senida Albo on Nov. 25, 1936. He attended Park Elementary and Durango High schools.

On Aug. 8, 1959, he married Delicia Arellano in Farmington. They moved to Farmington in 1975.

Mr. Albo worked in road construction for much of his life and owned Manuel Albo Bail Bonds in his later years.

He was an avid Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed playing poker and other card games as well as shooting pool.

Mr. Albo is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Delicia Albo, of Farmington; sons Manuel Albo, Alan Albo and Domenick Albo, all of Farmington; daughters Gail Hunt and Sandra McGee, both of Farmington; sister Tommie Gardner of Longmont; brothers Abran Albo of Aurora and Frankie Albo of Billings, Mont.; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. today, July 16, 2009, at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2100 E. 20th St. in Farmington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2009, also at St. Mary's. The Rev. Michael Vigil will be the celebrant. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington.
