Ted and Myrna, Gloria and John, I'm so sorry cousins. I will miss my visits with Aunt Lupe.
The laughter, the talks about working in the school districts. I remember when she would paint her dog So-Sos nails :) In evenings ,I will think of her when I drink my " nightly prescription" of red wine with a smile. The times swimming at your swimming pool and the food , especially the breakfasts were just heavenly. RIP with Uncle. See you Friday cousins. Love, Nancy

Some may find it odd to equate love with a cast iron skillet but for some of us that's exactly what it was. Mrs. Lopez had her hands full not only raising her kids but also in certain measure her kid's friends as well. As a friend of her son John we were usually up to all manner of chicanery, invariably being held accountable by Mrs. Lopez. Witness: One summer Mrs. Lopez and her husband Lee decided to take a trip to Flagstaff, Az after just having put down new carpeting in their home. Of course John and friends saw this as an opportunity to have a party, which called for us laying down construction plastic over the new carpet and stapling it to the baseboards. The carpet survived but Mrs. Lopez found out about the party nevertheless. John, his party friends and I all expected to find her at the door, frying pan in hand. She of course would never use it but the message was clear. She loved us all and worried about our safety. We in turn were always comforted in knowing we had a welcoming, loving place to visit whenever we wanted. Mrs. Lopez's greatest wish was to be with Lee and now she has been granted that request. God bless.
Condolences to John Boy, Gloria and Ted.

Gloria, Johnny and Teddy, sorry to hear of your mothers passing. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. Our mothers had great times visiting with each other. My parents Geneva and John Clemens lived across the street from you in Desert Winds back in the 1960's. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Lupe loved being with her family. She and Lee worked hard to provide for their family. She was always nice and when we visited she always had snacks and drinks ready to serve you. I never heard her say anything bad about anyone, she provided a wonderful example. We are blessed that she was part of our family. She will be missed.
