Lora Knight Obituary

Lora ""Lorraine"" Knight, age 92, passed away Friday September 18th, 2015 at Cottonwood Inn in Durango Colorado. She loved everyone and will be missed dearly. She was an active member at Church of Christ. She loved her church and loved bible class with the ladies. She believed in the Lord as her savior. Lorraine lived in Durango her whole life and graduated from Durango High School in 1941. She worked at various places such as Fort Lewis College, Western Steakhouse, Holiday Inn, Dutch Oven. She loved to golf with her husband in her younger days, She loved going on outings and to the Bar D and seeing the colors in the Fall.

She will be remembered as a kind and loving person. Lorraine took care of her mother and her husband George till the day they died. She was preceded in death by her husband George, mother and father, Essie and Byron Moreland, and daughter Georgia Carol, two brothers (one which was a twin) and one sister. She is survived by her daughters Diane Gray and husband Aaron, Karla Dennison and husband Carl form Las Vegas, NV. , two grand children Shane and Chris Vialpando, great granddaughter Destany Whitson from Farmington, NM. , sister Mae Louise Sparks from Durango., Niece and nephew Lora Lee and Barney Dunn.

There will be a celebration of Life on Sunday September 27th at 11:45 at Church of Christ 2100 W. 3rd Ave. Durango.
