What a Beautiful Dear Friend. I met Lillian at an ice skating party at their family farm in Oxford. When I started seventh grade, at Smiley Jr. high, they held an orientation in the auditorium. I looked up and saw Lillian and her siblings sitting behind me. That´s all it took! We had such a friendship. While in high school we sang in mixed choir and Grandioso. We sang in a trio with Ruthie, her sister, in a talent show. When we graduated we sang for Baccalaureate. We were in each others weddings (Maid of Honors). What fun time we had getting into trouble, dragging main, spending the nights with each other. I flew to Durango in April to see her from Michigan. I loved her dearly.

During the late 60's I met Lillian and her sister Virginia and Betty started babysitting for me in the 70's. They lived on east animas during that time and sent home fresh milk with me. Billy and Betty were both humble and hard working. My first memory of Lillian was her working at the A&W which is now Griego's. She car hopped and was the cutest thing ever!! My sincerest sympathy for this beautiful family. Delia Bell
